We can take care of all your car’s braking needs from diagnosing braking performance issues like spongy brake pedal or vibration during braking to servicing anti-lock brake system faults and parking brake issues.
We can also replace any worn brake components such as pads, rotors, calipers, brake lines, and hoses etc. using quality new replacement parts.
Tip:
If your hear a gentle rhythmic chirp or squeak coming from one of your wheels while driving at slower speeds, it’s probably your brake pad wear indicator (squeaker) letting you know it’s time to replace the brake pads.
Brake Fluid
Good clean brake fluid has a pivotal role in the proper operation of your car’s braking system. Did you know that your car’s brake fluid is hygroscopic? That means it attracts water vapor from the atmosphere. Water in your brake hydraulic system causes rust inside brake calipers and wheel cylinders which can cause these parts to seize. If your vehicle pulls to the side while braking your vehicle may have seized calipers due to water in the brake system.
Water in the brake fluid also lowers the fluid’s boiling point. When brake fluid boils from large amounts of heat generated at the wheels (such as during extended periods of downhill braking), air pockets form in the system from steam and prevent your brakes from working since air is compressible unlike brake fluid. Imagine jamming on your brakes and nothing happening! The remedy? A brake fluid flush.
When we do a brake fluid flush, we first remove all of the old worn out fluid from the reservoir and refill it with fresh fluid. We then bleed the entire brake system at all four wheels until only clean fluid comes out.
